Black Helmet Roadmap for 2025: Made in the USA, Owned by You!

Looking back on this year, we’re reminded of what makes Black Helmet special: the unwavering spirit of the firefighter community. When we bought back the brand in 2024, it wasn’t just about reclaiming a name—it was about reigniting a promise to honor the brothers and sisters that stand tall every single day.

Now, as we plan out our roadmap for 2025, we’ve got two big updates to share with you. We’re excited to share our vision and would love to hear your thoughts along the way. Comment or message us and let us know what you think.

First, We’re Bringing it Back Home

Starting in 2025, we’re going to be making more products in house—right here in the USA. It’s not the easiest path, but it’s the right one. In the past, our wallets, leather goods, tees, stickers and more were all made in the USA, often through firefighter owned companies when possible.

While it won’t happen overnight, we’re committed to transitioning our top selling products to be Made in the USA as much as possible. This move means supporting American jobs, staying true to our values, and delivering gear you can wear with pride.

In addition to moving existing products, we’re launching a new line of completely unique, USA-made accessories. The first of these will drop in early 2025 and we can’t wait for you to see what we’ve been working on.

Finally (This is a Big One), Redefining What Firefighter Owned Means For Us

Sure, lots of firefighters have a side hustle – and that’s what Black Helmet was when we started it in 2008. But over the years, so many of you fell in love with the brand and what it represented (we received over 100 photos of our logo in tattoos), it became a movement. After we sold the company in 2016, we received many messages asking what happened to the brand and longing for the “old days” of Black Helmet.

Well, we’re working towards something we’re extremely excited about: making it possible for you to own a piece of Black Helmet. This would place Black Helmet where it belongs—in the hands of those who understand what it means to serve, and it could give you a stake in our shared success. For the first time, we could build something that truly belongs to all of us.
